Better Help
— Frank Cristiani —
Zack smiled wickedly with Sylvia’s tender face, she was in shock now occupying the former body of Zack.
Zack was overweight, unkempt, miserable, beard full of crumbs, he didn’t care about his health nor his hygiene, on the other hand she had everything he thought he deserved: a high-paying job, a beautiful face and body that turned heads, from both men and women.
he deserved it more than she did, or at least that’s what he monologued to her as he touched his new curves.
From that day on, Zack lived in pure hedonism.
He used Sylvia’s body like a toy, drugs, alcohol, and endless unprotected sex with strangers. Within months he had already gone through one abortion. He didn’t care.
This body was his now, and he was going to enjoy every filthy second of it.
A full year later, Zack was struggling to pick up his phone from the floor at the street when a man approached and handed it to him.
“Thanks,” Zack muttered in Sylvia’s soft voice.
When he looked up, his blood ran cold.
Standing in front of him was Sylvia in Zack’s original body. But she looked nothing like the broken, unkempt man Zack used to be. She had gotten fit, trimmed her hair, cleaned herself up, and carried herself with quiet confidence. Next to her stood a beautiful woman holding her hand.
Zack’s eyes filled with tears.
“Why do you always have to make me look bad?!” he screamed, his voice cracking.
Sylvia looked at him with calm pity.
“You never understood, Zack. The problem was never the body, it was you.” She paused. “You need to get better help.”
Without another word, she turned and walked away, her girlfriend’s hand in hers, leaving Zack standing there in Sylvia’s ruined body, alone, pregnant again, and finally forced to face the truth.
